Terms of service

Last updated 18 August 2026. Plain terms for a free tool that runs in your browser.

Using the service

CUT IT is free to use, for personal and commercial work alike, with no account required. You may use the images you produce however you like — we claim no rights over them and never receive them.

Your responsibility for content

You are responsible for having the right to edit the images you open, and for how you use the results. Do not use the tool to create material that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that misrepresents a real person or organisation.

What we do not promise

The service is provided as is. Cutout quality depends on the image and on a model that is right most of the time and wrong some of the time. We do not warrant that results will be accurate, that the site will be available without interruption, or that it will be free of defects.

Because processing happens on your device, we cannot recover work in progress. Download anything you need before closing the tab; nothing is stored for you.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CUT IT is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, including lost work, lost profit or business interruption. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Advertising and third parties

The site carries advertising and loads the ad network's script. We are not responsible for advertiser content or for third-party sites reached through it. The background-removal model is downloaded from the library's asset host, whose availability we do not control.

Changes

These terms may change as the service changes. The date above will be updated when they do. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the current version.
